“Rise Above the Silver and Gold” is the story of a young amateur rapper, from Washington, DC who discovers his mother is unable to provide for his college education. In desperation and yearning for success, he turns to a career in the music business. Stanley discovers a corrupt industry and a notorious rap mogul “Darnell Rivers” who wants him to take over his criminal enterprise. The price of the deal could cost him his soul. He struggles between fame, fortune and lust versus faith, integrity and salvation.

The film stars, Stanley Henson, Jr., Georgianna Robertson, Emmanuel “DaCapo” Edili, an emerging young rapper on Universal Records. Stanley Henson, Jr. directs and stars in the film as, “Darnell Rivers” a ruthless record mogul. Jacqueline L. Murray was first seen in the film, “Ray” and appears in this film as, “Tracy Black” a female gangster and record manager. The film also stars, famed quarterback Joe Theismann, BMG recording artist J.E. “BB Jay” Cooper and Gregory “Sugarbear” Elliott of the recording group E.U. and the Spike Lee film “School Daze”.
